Welcome to the First Christian Church, Norman—a community joined together in a reverent, thoughtful, loving quest for faith.

As a way to “introduce” ourselves to you, the church’s mission statement is included as a descriptive expression of our sense of mission and ministry in the Norman community and beyond.

The purpose of First Christian Church Norman is to receive, embody, and share the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. It seeks to fulfill this calling —

• By leading people through worship, study, fellowship, and service to the presence of God.
• By proclaiming and witnessing to Biblical teachings.
• By nurturing perspnal growth in faith and faithful living, as an expression of the life and spirit of Jesus.
• By being a caring congregation which accepts all persons, practices freedom, is open to diverse ideas and understandings, and offers mutual support and stimulation.
• By striving to bring to the community, state, nation, and the world Biblical insights of righteousness, justice, reconciliation, peace, and wholeness of life.
• By working as individuals, as a congregation, and in denominational and ecumenical aspects to serve the needs of all people in the community and throughout the world.
